Wolfgang's Qi Gong Tips

Wolfgang shows you the Mini Qi Gong program consisting of eight exercises:
Qi awaken with head rotation
Open heart
Support sky
Archer
Strengthen kidney
Liver cleanse
Shadow boxing
Yin Yang circles
Qi Gong exercises
against stress
In this video you will learn special Qi Gong exercises that will help you to come more into your center. With the center of the human being is proverbially meant the middle, more precisely the anatomical center. This is located a hand's width below the navel and is called "Dantien" in Qi Gong.

Whenever we manage to center ourselves in this point, there is an automatic calming of the whole body and nervous system, which is fascinating and difficult to explain. One explanation would be that the energy from the head area is shifted downwards and thus thoughts come to rest.
And as we all know, stress is largely created in the mind.

The 8 exercises shown will help you relieve stress, whether it manifests itself physically or mentally. All it takes is regular practice of the exercises shown.

Asthma

Asthma is caused by hypersensitivity of the bronchial muscles. Due to an exaggerated defense reaction of the body against stimuli, the bronchial mucosa swells and an asthma attack occurs. In addition, the airways become tense and the patient has the feeling of suffocating.

If you were to spread out the mucous membrane, it would have an area of about 75 m2. This large surface area is necessary for us to get enough oxygen into our blood and then our cells via respiration.

However, this area is also exposed to many pollutants that are in the air for a lifetime. This is especially the case in large cities, but also in areas with a lot of traffic or industry.

In most cases, asthma develops in childhood; after the age of 30, a first onset is less common.

The cause is an allergy to a wide variety of substances. These are called Allergens and they are mostly in the air. These include Plant pollen, house dust, pollutants and animal hair. If the bronchial mucosa comes into contact with one of these substances, the body triggers an exaggerated defense reaction. The mucous membrane then swells and the airways become tense. Every human being produces endogenous substances for a defense reaction. However, this defense reaction is clearly exaggerated in asthmatics.

  • The mucous membrane in the bronchi swells
  • the delicate bronchial muscles tense up
  • The mucus cells in the bronchioles form more viscous mucus, which further blocks the airways.

But also Food can create such a cause allergic reaction.

In chronic asthmatics, other stimuli can also cause a Trigger asthma attack. Infections, cold air and stress are to be mentioned here as the most important triggers.

With self-acupuncture we help the body to release the tension and relieve the inflammation.

In addition to self-acupuncture treatments, it is also useful to supplement with micronutrients (minerals, vitamins, trace elements, oils). Because these are involved in all our metabolic reactions.

Here, above all, would be the Omega-3 fatty acids to mention. Because these have an anti-inflammatory effectunlike omega-6 fatty acids, which are often found in animal fats, especially if the meat comes from mass farming. Omega-6 fatty acids promote inflammatory processes in the body and are therefore very bad, especially for asthmatics.

The best way to take omega 3 is in the form of Fish oil to itself. A herbal alternative is Linseed oil.

Another trace element that is used for asthma is Magnesium. Because magnesium acts anti-allergic and reduces cramping of the bronchial musculature.

Furthermore, it is known that also the Intestinal health has a great influence in the relief of asthma. The TCM knows the connection of Large intestine and lungs. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the health of the intestine. Here act Lactic acid fermented (fermented) foods very good.

Other factors to consider:

  • Watch your weight, because according to studies, obesity affects lung function
  • Chronic stress has also been shown to be a promoting factor in the development of asthma.
  • Drink a lot of pure water (makes the tough mucus more fluid).
  • In addition, a diet rich in minerals (fruit, dried fruit) and omega-3 fatty acids (fish, linseed oil) helps.

Acupen

Lu 01 "Central Residence"- Zhongfu

Alarm point (Mu point) of the lungs

- Location:

The point is located in the first intercostal space below the clavicle, 8 transverse fingers (6 cun) outside (lateral) the midline.

- Helps with:

Shoulder pain, shortness of breath, bronchial congestion, asthma, bronchitis.

Comment:

This point is popularly used in TCM for Fullness patterns in the Lungs. An example of this would be a cough caused by too much phlegm in the lungs. It leads the Lung-Qi downwards and thereby causes blockages in the thorax area (chest) to be released.

Due to its location, the point is also effective for pain in the shoulder and upper back. In general, it can be said that the Mu points in traditional Chinese medicine are used more for acute problems.

Lu 07 "Interrupted sequence"- Lieque

Extraordinarily important lung point in TCM

- Location:

On the spoke, 2 transverse fingers above the flexion fold

- Helps with:

Shoulder pain, shortness of breath, breathing problems, asthma, bronchitis, neck headache, bladder problems, stuffy nose.

Comment:

This point is used in TCM for the elimination of pathogenic factors used, like Wind-cold or wind-heat. The point distributes the lung qi and lowers it.

The point is used especially in the early stages of a cold, as it opens the pores of the skin, facilitating sweating. This allows the pathogenic factor, whether cold or heat, to be expelled. The symptoms in the stage are, sneezing, stiff neck, headache and a general aversion to cold.

In that case, the Lu07 point is shared with the Di04 point.

The nose is the sensory organ of the lungs and therefore this point is often used for blocked or running nose. In this case, always together with the Di20 point.

Lu07 is an extremely effective point with an effect on the face and skull. Therefore, it can be combined with other points if the problem is in that area. It will direct the effect exactly there.

Also on the psychological level, the point can do a lot of good. Especially it works with worry, sorrow or sadness. The activation of Lu07 can make quietly suffering people cry, which has a healing effect.

- Location:

On the wrist crease in a depression next to the tendon of the pollicis longus muscle.

Comment:

This point is mainly used in TCM to release heat in the lungs. Some call it the "anti-hangover point" because it can relieve the suffering of a night of partying with too much alcohol. This effect can be attributed to the heat-releasing effect that this point has. Alcohol generates heat in the body, especially high-proof alcohol.

Qi Gong

The word Qi Gong consists of 2 syllables - Qi and Gong. The Chinese term "Qi" can be translated for us most likely by "life energy". But it contains more than this. It also means breath and air. In Chinese medicine, Qi is considered to be the invigorating force that flows through all living things. However, Qi is not only inside the body of a living being, but also outside. Qi also shows itself to us in nature. Thus animals, flowers and trees are flowed through by Qi. Qi is the living force that is inherent in everything and that makes life possible.

The Japanese call this force "Ki". In India it is called "Prana". It always means the same thing - the power and energy that is inherent in everything and keeps us alive. In Chinese medicine, health is only possible when the Qi in our body is pure, not polluted and can flow freely.

Due to bad living habits, in the course of time, energy blockages can occur in the body system and as a result, diseases can manifest, which can be physical or psychological in nature. Generally speaking, we can say that a living person has Qi throughout the body.

The word "gong means roughly "body work" or "success through perseverance and practice". Therefore Qi Gong is called "Work with the life energy". We learn to improve the flow and distribution of Qi in our body through movement and concentration to strengthen our health and bring body and mind into harmony. At the same time we learn to stand correctly, between heaven and earth. This significantly improves posture and many aches and pains disappear on their own.

Qi Gong is a holistic healing system with a long tradition, which has been continuously developed until today. It includes health-promoting postures, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques and meditation. Through these various exercise methods, Qi is supposed to be collected and stored in the body, like in a reservoir. The goal is to expel the impure Qi and absorb fresh pure Qi.

Qi Gong is not a medicine that is prescribed for a limited time, but rather it should be practiced daily. In this regard, 20 minutes of daily practice is enough to improve health and one's well-being to a great extent.

Anyone can practice qigong. There are exercises for every age and every state of health. The exercises can be practiced standing, sitting, lying down or walking. So even physically challenged people can easily practice Qi Gong and improve your health in a sustainable way.

Chinese herbs

The herbal therapy is called "the queen of TCM" in traditional Chinese medicine. This underlines its high status. Herbs form an important foundation of TCM and have a profound effect on the human organism. They can replenish deficiencies, expel states of fullness, warm or cool the body. They are generally referred to as herbs. Nevertheless, minerals are also used in the recipes.

Herbs are usually prescribed after a thorough diagnosis by a doctor. In this diagnosis, in addition to a conversation, attention is paid to the pulse, tongue and overall appearance of the person. Nevertheless, there are herbal mixtures that have proven themselves over the centuries for various problems.

We have made suggestions for all clinical pictures for such proven recipes. Nevertheless, in many cases it may be necessary to consult a doctor or therapist. Based on the individual situation, this person can recognize how the energetic situation really is at the moment and, based on this, recommend the optimal herbal mixture. Of course we do not have this possibility, because we cannot meet you personally. Nevertheless, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we will try to help you as much as possible.

For many disease patterns there are 2-3 herbal suggestions. The first suggestion is always the one that from my experience is suitable for most people. However, if there is no reaction, then try the second mixture that is suggested to you.

However, herbal therapy needs some patience, because in most cases it works slowly and subtly. In return, there are no side effects and the effect is very long-lasting.
