Wolfgang's Qi Gong Tips

Wolfgang shows you the Mini Qi Gong program consisting of eight exercises:
Qi awaken with head rotation
Divide clouds
Yin Yang circles
Windmill
Cloud hands
Collect Qi
Qi Gong exercises
for more concentration
In this video Wolfgang shows you Qi Gong exercises that increase your concentration. To achieve this, you need to develop the ability to feel your body. This shifts the attention from the head to the body and the thoughts come to rest.

When the storms of life chase you, you don't want to be at the top of the tree, but near the roots, on the earth. This is exactly the image used in qigong when talking about rooting.

In addition, this Qi Gong program includes exercises that improve the connection between the two hemispheres of the brain. This also helps to improve one's concentration.

Lack of concentration

Many people suffer from poor concentration. This refers to a condition in which one can only focus on an activity for a short time before drifting off into thought. This is very common in children and can make life at school quite stressful. The acupuncture points shown help children, teenagers as well as adults. If you do not have the acupuncturist with you, or if you want to stimulate the points inconspicuously during work or school, you can also do this with your fingers.

Our brain should actually be able to concentrate on a task over a period of 45-60 minutes. You can compare this to a muscle workout. Again, we should be able to get through a 45-60 minute training session. If this is not the case, then we realize that we are out of shape and we need to train our muscles more.

If, on the other hand, we can't concentrate on something for very long, we often take this as an unalterable given. "That's just the way I am. It's always been that way, that I have trouble concentrating". But this is not true. In this case, our brain also needs to be trained like a muscle.

Therefore, just pressing a few acupuncture points on the body is not enough. While you are doing this, you also need to really focus on the points and at the same time on the breathing.

If you find this difficult at the beginning, then concentrate only on the sensation in the point you are pressing. Ask yourself how the point feels. How does it change in the course of pressing?

If you can concentrate on deep breathing into your belly at the same time, you have already made good progress with your concentration training.

Furthermore, I would like to give you a few helpful tips on this topic.

1.) Drink water

When you sit down to a task, get in the habit of drinking a glass of water first.

Preferably lukewarm water, so that your digestive organs are spared. Our brain needs water and it is often the case that we drink too little and then our brain simply cannot work economically. Therefore, start every important task with it.

2.) Crossover movements

You can improve the connection between both halves of the brain by making crossover movements. Our brain consists of 2 connected halves. The left half is more or less responsible for our logical thinking. The right half is more responsible for our creativity and visual imagination.

So both have quite different tasks, although recent research shows that this separation is not quite as rigid as I have described it here. Nevertheless, the fact is that they work better when they are both active. Then we can think holistically, that is, approach a matter with logic and inspiration. When that's the case, tasks come effortlessly to us.

In a crossover movement, quite simply, the left hand goes to the right side of the body and vice versa. So you can lie down on the floor. Hands behind your head and now you come up with your upper body. Now touch your right knee with your left elbow. Then go low again with your upper body. Then come up again and touch your left knee with your right elbow. As a side effect of this exercise you will get a flat and strong stomach.

3.) Think cap

Activate your ears, this exercise is called thinking cap in kinesiology because it supports easier thinking.

Very simply massage the ears with your fingers from the bottom up with thumb and forefinger. Simply knead the whole ear. Do this 3 times from top to bottom and you have stimulated about 200 acupuncture points, which are located on the ear and positively influence the whole body.

4.) Meditation.

In the podcast I show you a short meditation. It is the "Silent Qigong". This is a special form of qigong that eliminates external movement and only moves energy mentally. 5-10 minutes a day has been shown to improve the functioning of your brain, as research has shown. Along the way, you'll reduce stress and become more emotionally balanced.

Ht 07 "Gate of the Spirit" - Shenmen

This is one of the most important points to influence the psyche

- Location:

The point is located in front of the pea bone in a depression. This is located on the side of the little finger, at the level of the inner wrist crease.

- Helps with:

Restlessness, irritability, depression, anxiety, apathy, sleep disturbances, memory impairment, mood swings, heart pain.

Comment:

This item is used mainly to strengthen the cardiacBlood drawn upon. Therefore, it is used for all blood deficiency symptoms such as insomnia, forgetfulness, anxiety and palpitations.

It is the best point to calm the mind in case of great restlessness, worries and stress. Holding this point in bed at night is a perfect way to quiet the mind and then sleep deeply and soundly.

PaM-3 "Seal Hall" - Yintang

Master point for headaches and stuffy nose

- Location:

In the middle between the eyebrows, at the root of the nose, at its deepest point.

- Helps with:

Eye diseases, nasal congestion, insomnia, headache (especially in the forehead area), dizziness, sinusitis,

Comment:

This point is called the master point for headache and nose. Together with Bl 02 it has an even stronger effect. But it also has a strong mental calming effect.

This point is also called the upper dantien. Dantien means as much as "Sea of Energy. The lower dantien is the KG 6 point, the middle dantien is the CV 17 point and the upper one is the PaM-3 point.

PaM means: point outside the meridians. These are points that are very effective from the millennia-old tradition, but just do not lie on any of the classical meridians.

There are a total of 48 such extra points, as they are also called.

KG 4 "Gate of origin qi" - Guanyuan

Alarm point of the small intestine

- Location:

4 transverse fingers (3 cun) below the navel

- Helps with:

Diarrhea, problems urinating, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength.

Comment:

This is the most powerful point to tonify Qi and blood and strengthen body and soul. It strengthens the kidney and thus the original Qi. Thus, it is an important point to increase overall vitality and in chronic diseases.

KG 4 has a grounding effect on the spirit of man, in that it offers us a center in which we can gather and come to rest.

KG 5 "Stone Gate" - Shimen

Alarm point of the triple burner

- Location:

3 transverse fingers (2 cun) below the navel

- Helps with:

Diarrhea, problems urinating, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength.

Comment:

The effect of points KG 4,5,6 are similar and therefore we have combined them.

If we take a closer look at KG 5, it has a special effect on the 3-fold warmer. It also strengthens, like KG 4, the origin Qi. However, more by the fact that he better coordinates the "3 combustion chambers of the body".

The task of the triple burner is to regulate the absorption, transformation and elimination in the body. The better this works, the more vital the entire body.

KG 6 "Sea of Qi" - Qihai

Strengthening point of the body - the sea of energy!

- Location:

2 transverse fingers (1.5 cun) below the navel

- Helps with:

Diarrhea, problems with urination, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength, physical and mental exhaustion.

Comment:

The effect of the points overlap and yet can be very differentiated. While KG 6 strengthens more the Qi, KG 4 strengthens more the blood. This is explained by the fact that KG 4 acts on the small intestine, which is involved in blood production.

Furthermore, KG 6 moves qi, while KG 4 has no qi moving influence, although both strengthen qi.

KG 6 affects all abdominal organs, while KG 4 has more of an effect on the uterus.

KG 6 additionally strengthens the spleen, while KG 4 strengthens the kidneys.

Qi Gong

The word Qi Gong consists of 2 syllables - Qi and Gong. The Chinese term "Qi" can be translated for us most likely by "life energy". But it contains more than this. It also means breath and air. In Chinese medicine, Qi is considered to be the invigorating force that flows through all living things. However, Qi is not only inside the body of a living being, but also outside. Qi also shows itself to us in nature. Thus animals, flowers and trees are flowed through by Qi. Qi is the living force that is inherent in everything and that makes life possible.

The Japanese call this force "Ki". In India it is called "Prana". It always means the same thing - the power and energy that is inherent in everything and keeps us alive. In Chinese medicine, health is only possible when the Qi in our body is pure, not polluted and can flow freely.

Due to bad living habits, in the course of time, energy blockages can occur in the body system and as a result, diseases can manifest, which can be physical or psychological in nature. Generally speaking, we can say that a living person has Qi throughout the body.

The word "gong means roughly "body work" or "success through perseverance and practice". Therefore Qi Gong is called "Work with the life energy". We learn to improve the flow and distribution of Qi in our body through movement and concentration to strengthen our health and bring body and mind into harmony. At the same time we learn to stand correctly, between heaven and earth. This significantly improves posture and many aches and pains disappear on their own.

Qi Gong is a holistic healing system with a long tradition, which has been continuously developed until today. It includes health-promoting postures, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques and meditation. Through these various exercise methods, Qi is supposed to be collected and stored in the body, like in a reservoir. The goal is to expel the impure Qi and absorb fresh pure Qi.

Qi Gong is not a medicine that is prescribed for a limited time, but rather it should be practiced daily. In this regard, 20 minutes of daily practice is enough to improve health and one's well-being to a great extent.

Anyone can practice qigong. There are exercises for every age and every state of health. The exercises can be practiced standing, sitting, lying down or walking. So even physically challenged people can easily practice Qi Gong and improve your health in a sustainable way.

Chinese herbs

The herbal therapy is called "the queen of TCM" in traditional Chinese medicine. This underlines its high status. Herbs form an important foundation of TCM and have a profound effect on the human organism. They can replenish deficiencies, expel states of fullness, warm or cool the body. They are generally referred to as herbs. Nevertheless, minerals are also used in the recipes.

Herbs are usually prescribed after a thorough diagnosis by a doctor. In this diagnosis, in addition to a conversation, attention is paid to the pulse, tongue and overall appearance of the person. Nevertheless, there are herbal mixtures that have proven themselves over the centuries for various problems.

We have made suggestions for all clinical pictures for such proven recipes. Nevertheless, in many cases it may be necessary to consult a doctor or therapist. Based on the individual situation, this person can recognize how the energetic situation really is at the moment and, based on this, recommend the optimal herbal mixture. Of course we do not have this possibility, because we cannot meet you personally. Nevertheless, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we will try to help you as much as possible.

For many disease patterns there are 2-3 herbal suggestions. The first suggestion is always the one that from my experience is suitable for most people. However, if there is no reaction, then try the second mixture that is suggested to you.

However, herbal therapy needs some patience, because in most cases it works slowly and subtly. In return, there are no side effects and the effect is very long-lasting.
