Wolfgang's Qi Gong Tips

Wolfgang shows you the Mini Qi Gong program consisting of eight exercises:
Awaken Qi
Open heart
Support sky
Collect Qi
Qi Gong exercises
for more inner peace

This Qi Gong program consists of only 4 exercises and thus represents a "mini - Qi Gong program". It is intended to create a short "energy break" in a stressful situation. For this you need only a few minutes.

The first exercise connects you with your breath and your body. The second exercise helps you to increase your breathing space. This also deepens your breath and automatically relaxes your nervous system. The third exercise gives you the opportunity to expand into space and develop inner strength by imagining yourself supporting the sky. A truly great task! With the final exercise you gather energy and recharge your batteries. So you are ready to go back to everyday life with new strength and fresh energy.

Nervousness

Nervousness is a widespread problem in our society. To find a solution here, the following measures should be considered for the time being.

  • Reduce stress
  • Take a break
  • use the weekend for recreation
  • More sleep
  • Less smoking, less alcohol, less coffee
  • Avoid noise
  • Cancel appointments, don't take on too much.
  • Being able to say "No!" once

To combat nervousness, regularly treat the acupuncture points shown with acupen. While holding the points, it is very important to breathe consciously and deeply. The Points He7 and Hk7 are so-called "psycho points". That is, they have a strong effect on our emotions and our inner state. That is why we use them here in this program.

The Point LG20 is called the "Pass of Heaven". This is a very effective relaxation point. If one cannot use the acupuncture in public, one can also concentrate mentally on this point, at the highest point of the head, for a few breaths. This calms the thoughts and a general feeling of well-being appears in the body.

The Point KG 4 finally, brings us back to our energetic center. We bring the energy from the head down into the energy store in the lower abdomen. This is called "Dantien" in China, which means "sea of energy".

Breathing properly helps against nervousness

Breathing also plays an important role in the fight against nervousness. Here it is recommended to practice Qi Gong exercises, because you practice conscious and deep abdominal breathing. Once you have learned this, it is possible to take a few deep breaths into the abdomen everywhere in everyday life.

This relaxes the nervous system and helps to reduce nervousness and inner turmoil.

Take a look at our Mindfulness & Qi Gong Course at. There you will learn exercises that improve your mindfulness and reduce stress at the same time.

It is also useful to meditate regularly because it also calms the nervous system.

And these are natural herbs with which you can strengthen the nerves:

  • Melissa tea:
  • St. John's wort tea
  • Passion flower tea
  • Hop flowers tea
  • Lavender flower tea
Acupen

Gathering of all yang letti pathways

- Location:

on the highest part of the head

- Traditionally classified as:

Headache, drowsiness, neck tension, restlessness, forgetfulness, tinnitus, balance disorders, dizziness.

Comment:

This is the intersection of all yang meridians, i.e. those channels that move the yang towards the head. Thus, it has a strong effect on the rise of Yang and thus a clearing function for the mind.

It has a mood-lifting effect, especially in depressive states, and connects us with the "heavenly energy", as it is called in Qi Gong.

Hk 07 "Big hill" - Daling

One of the important psycho points in TCM, calms the mind

Comment:

This is one of the important points in acupuncture, with a strong effect on the psyche. It has a strong calming effect on the mind and is therefore used for all states of anxiety and restlessness. It has a similar effect to He07. HK07 is used more for women, while He07 is used more for men.

Ht 07 "Gate of the Spirit" - Shenmen

This is one of the most important points to influence the psyche

- Location:

The point is located in front of the pea bone in a depression. This is located on the side of the little finger, at the level of the inner wrist crease.

- Traditionally classified as:

Restlessness, irritability, depression, anxiety, apathy, sleep disturbances, memory impairment, mood swings, heart pain.

Comment:

This item is used mainly to strengthen the cardiacBlood drawn upon. Therefore, it is used for all blood deficiency symptoms such as insomnia, forgetfulness, anxiety and palpitations.

It is the best point to calm the mind in case of great restlessness, worries and stress. Holding this point in bed at night is a perfect way to quiet the mind and then sleep deeply and soundly.

KG 4 "Gate of origin qi" - Guanyuan

Alarm point of the small intestine

- Location:

4 transverse fingers (3 cun) below the navel

- Traditionally classified as:

Diarrhea, problems urinating, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength.

Comment:

This is the most powerful point to tonify Qi and blood and strengthen body and soul. It strengthens the kidney and thus the original Qi. Thus, it is an important point to increase overall vitality and in chronic diseases.

KG 4 has a grounding effect on the spirit of man, in that it offers us a center in which we can gather and come to rest.

KG 5 "Stone Gate" - Shimen

Alarm point of the triple burner

- Location:

3 transverse fingers (2 cun) below the navel

- Traditionally classified as:

Diarrhea, problems urinating, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength.

Comment:

The effect of points KG 4,5,6 are similar and therefore we have combined them.

If we take a closer look at KG 5, it has a special effect on the 3-fold warmer. It also strengthens, like KG 4, the origin Qi. However, more by the fact that he better coordinates the "3 combustion chambers of the body".

The task of the triple burner is to regulate the absorption, transformation and elimination in the body. The better this works, the more vital the entire body.

KG 6 "Sea of Qi" - Qihai

Strengthening point of the body - the sea of energy!

- Location:

2 transverse fingers (1.5 cun) below the navel

- Traditionally classified as:

Diarrhea, problems with urination, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength, physical and mental exhaustion.

Comment:

The effect of the points overlap and yet can be very differentiated. While KG 6 strengthens more the Qi, KG 4 strengthens more the blood. This is explained by the fact that KG 4 acts on the small intestine, which is involved in blood production.

Furthermore, KG 6 moves qi, while KG 4 has no qi moving influence, although both strengthen qi.

KG 6 affects all abdominal organs, while KG 4 has more of an effect on the uterus.

KG 6 additionally strengthens the spleen, while KG 4 strengthens the kidneys.

Qi Gong

The word Qi Gong consists of 2 syllables - Qi and Gong. The Chinese term "Qi" can be translated for us most likely by "life energy". But it contains more than this. It also means breath and air. In Chinese medicine, Qi is considered to be the invigorating force that flows through all living things. However, Qi is not only inside the body of a living being, but also outside. Qi also shows itself to us in nature. Thus animals, flowers and trees are flowed through by Qi. Qi is the living force that is inherent in everything and that makes life possible.

The Japanese call this force "Ki". In India it is called "Prana". It always means the same thing - the power and energy that is inherent in everything and keeps us alive. In Chinese medicine, health is only possible when the Qi in our body is pure, not polluted and can flow freely.

Due to bad living habits, in the course of time, energy blockages can occur in the body system and as a result, diseases can manifest, which can be physical or psychological in nature. Generally speaking, we can say that a living person has Qi throughout the body.

The word "gong means roughly "body work" or "success through perseverance and practice". Therefore Qi Gong is called "Work with the life energy". We learn to improve the flow and distribution of Qi in our body through movement and concentration to strengthen our health and bring body and mind into harmony. At the same time we learn to stand correctly, between heaven and earth. This significantly improves posture and many aches and pains disappear on their own.

Qi Gong is a holistic healing system with a long tradition, which has been continuously developed until today. It includes health-promoting postures, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques and meditation. Through these various exercise methods, Qi is supposed to be collected and stored in the body, like in a reservoir. The goal is to expel the impure Qi and absorb fresh pure Qi.

Qi Gong is not a medicine that is prescribed for a limited time, but rather it should be practiced daily. In this regard, 20 minutes of daily practice is enough to improve health and one's well-being to a great extent.

Anyone can practice qigong. There are exercises for every age and every state of health. The exercises can be practiced standing, sitting, lying down or walking. So even physically challenged people can easily practice Qi Gong and improve your health in a sustainable way.
