Quality that starts at the root

What really sets our TCM herbal blends apart from the rest

The effectiveness of a TCM herbal blend depends entirely on the quality of the raw materials—and on the care taken at every single stage of processing. There is a world of difference between products „manufactured somewhere in Asia“ and genuine, top-quality pharmaceuticals.

We work with Taiwanese manufacturers who have been producing pharmaceutical-grade herbal granules of the highest quality for decades. One of our partner companies has been 1946 classic TCM formulas made using traditional methods—three generations of experience go into every tablet.

Our manufacturers in Taiwan have been producing pharmaceutical herbal granules in accordance with strict GMP standards since 1946

Six factors that define true TCM quality

Decoction control during the production of TCM herbal mixtures

Step 1

What Makes a TCM Herbal Blend Truly Effective

What many people don't know: In traditional TCM, herbs are traditionally boiled down several times. In this process, the first decoction — that is, the first aqueous extract of a plant — contains the highest concentration of active ingredients. The second and third extracts contain only a fraction of that amount.

Some manufacturers use herbs for their granules that have already been boiled once or twice—these leftover batches often come from the production of other products. This significantly lowers the purchase price, but it also reduces the active ingredient content.

Our manufacturers use only the first press high-quality plants grown sustainably.

Step 2

Manufactured in accordance with the Chinese Pharmacopoeia

Every single herb is carefully selected by our manufacturers processed individually — exactly as prescribed by the classical guidelines of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (中国药典). Pure water is generally used as the extraction medium; it is no coincidence that many classical formulations bear the suffix „Tang“ (湯), which means „soup“ or „broth“ in Chinese.

The traditional ones, too Methods of Preparation (Pao Zhi, 炮制) are strictly adhered to. For example: Licorice root is roasted with honey for certain recipes—it is then called Zhi Gan Cao (roasted licorice) — a processing step that fundamentally alters their properties and that a reputable manufacturer would never skip.

In the production of TCM herbal blends, traditional preparation methods (Pao Zhi, 炮制) are strictly adhered to

Step 3

No empty marketing figures

In the market, you often see advertisements using general concentration factors such as „5:1“ or „10:1„That means: 5 kilograms of herbs yield 1 kilogram of extract. It sounds impressive—but in TCM, it’s misleading.”.

Why? Because every plant is different. A root contains different active ingredients than a leaf, and a fruit contains different ones than a resin. Accordingly, each herb requires its own specific amount of raw material to be most effective. A single figure for an entire herbal blend is therefore not accurate—it’s just marketing.

We have deliberately chosen not to include such figures and instead focus on transparency in manufacturing.

Step 4

Cornstarch as a carrier — a deliberate choice

To turn the concentrated herbal extract into a uniform, easily dispensed granule, a carrier is needed. Our manufacturers use Cornstarch from non-GMO crops. Not because it's the cheapest option—but because it's the best one.

Why not use sugar, maltodextrin, or lactose, as many other manufacturers do?

  • Cornstarch is metabolized slowly and steadily without causing blood sugar levels to spike.
  • Maltodextrin and sugar have a high glycemic index—they can cause fluctuations in blood sugar, which is undesirable when taking an herbal blend daily.
  • Lactose Many people cannot tolerate it, and it can cause digestive problems.

The result: a fine, neutral granule that the body can absorb easily—without any unnecessary strain.

Step 5

Pharmaceutical standards from Taiwan

In Taiwan, TCM is not considered alternative medicine, but rather holistic medicine. Manufacturers are therefore automatically subject to strict pharmaceutical regulations—a level of quality rarely achieved in the European food industry.

For exports to Europe, the following also apply: stricter requirements In addition, every single batch is tested for:

  • Heavy metals (Lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic)
  • Pesticide residues
  • Microbiological contamination (germs, mold)
  • Aflatoxins (natural mycotoxins)

These checks begin as early as the Harvesting raw materials and oversee the entire manufacturing process through to the finished granules.

Step 6

From granules to pellets — without fillers

Our convenient pellets are made from this very high-quality granulate — without additional fillers. No magnesium stearate, no anti-caking agents, no „additives for technical reasons.“ Just the ingredients that make up the formula.

The benefit for you: The same quality as traditional granules—only easier to measure out, more convenient to take with you, and without the strong, distinctive taste that many TCM herbal blends have.

TCM herbal blends: the finished tablets

We supply TCM herbal blends from first excerpts, manufactured according to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, with Cornstarch as a carrier, according to pharmaceutical standards in Taiwan produced, on Tested for harmful substances and marketed in Europe—without misleading concentration figures and without unnecessary fillers.

— What we take for granted is the exception in the market.
