Awaken Qi

Collect Qi
Qi Gong exercises
for better blood circulation

This Qi Gong program consists of 6 exercises that improve blood circulation throughout the body. Through Qi Gong, with every single movement in the body there is a stretching and subsequent relaxation of muscles. This can be compared to a pump. Muscles tense and relax in the rhythm of breathing.

The blood vessels in the muscles are of course not exempt from this pulsation and are also stretched and relaxed again. This keeps the vessels supple, provided they are not affected by plaques due to bad eating habits. The valves in the veins remain healthy and as a result the heart has less work to move the blood around the body. Because rigid blood vessels are not only a problem for the heart, but also the trigger of many other problems.

You will feel the improved blood supply after a few minutes of practicing qigong when you become warm and start to sweat slightly.

Circulatory disorder

Many people suffer at cold hands and feet. They freeze very quickly, but this is not yet a problem from a conventional medical point of view. Only when it becomes really uncomfortable, in the worst case it can also be Raynaud's disease a pathological narrowing of the blood vessels. When a circulatory disorder is diagnosed, the TCM a own view on it. When the cold becomes too strong in the body, physiological processes slow down. Due to the force of the cold, energy and blood flow slows down. Blockages occur. Such blockages can cause tendons and muscles to tighten. In addition, the joints can become stiff.

From the point of view of TCM, there are usually two different types of energy in the human body: viz. Yin and Yang Energy. These two energies should be in balance with each other to balance each other and ensure an undisturbed flow of energy (Qi). When the Yin energy In the body prevailsthen this has an effect in Form of cold from. The Yang, so the warming principle in the body is too weak have become.

In the case of cold problems, a distinction is made between internal and external cold.

External cold can e.g. from nature or our environment have an impact on us. Especially in combination with wind, this is very problematic for our energy system. Because wind opens our pores and helps the cold to settle even deeper in our body. This specifically weakens the kidney energy and can cause lower back pain and general weakness. The Chinese fear nothing as much as wind because it can carry cold deep into the body.

Inner cold But it can also arise when we much cooling food ingest. Food has a thermal effect on the body. This is also what our common sense tells us. Everyone knows that Cinnamon, chili and ginger are warming. Curd, cucumber and yogurt, on the other hand, cool us wonderfully in the summer. However, they also do that in the winter and we can't really use that there.

Now, if you eat foods such as yogurt, curd, cucumbers, tomatoes, soy, mineral water, ice, and frozen foods, you can create internal cold and this then blocks qi circulation and can cause cold hands and feet.

After the Chinese philosophy of life the ideal state of health is given when there is Yin and Yang are in a harmonious relationship - a balance between Yin and Yang. When this balance between yin and yang is not right, disturbances occur. When the yang energy in the body is too weak, the yin energy becomes too strong, and coldness prevails in the body.

Therefore, TCM is always trying to establish this fluid balance between Yin and Yang. For this purpose, however, one must always adapt oneself to the seasons and weather conditions. I.e. take more warming foods and herbs in winter.

Warming herbs would be:

  • Cinnamon
  • Cloves
  • Star anise
  • Anise
  • Ginger
  • Fennel
  • Rosemary

Warming foods:

  • Beef
  • Wild
  • Pumpkin
  • Fennel
  • Carrots
  • Leeks
  • Roasted oatmeal

Tip:

  • Beef soups and chicken soups that are cooked for a long time (4 hours to 24 hours) also strengthen the yang
  • Drink 2 cups of hot water in the morning on an empty stomach. This adds heat to the body and detoxifies the body like no other remedy.
  • have a warm breakfast in the cold season, i.e. warm cereal porridge or soups.

Do this self-acupuncture program best 1-2 times a day.

St 36 "Three miles of the foot" - Zusanli

Most important point of the stomach meridian to strengthen digestion

- Location:

4 transverse fingers (3 cun) below the lower edge of the patella (knee cap) on the tibialis muscle

- Helps with:

indigestion, bloating, constipation, stomach pain, fatigue, headache, loss of appetite, blurred vision

Comment:

This point is a prominent point in TCM because it strengthens the post-heaven qi. What is meant by this is that it strengthens the stomach and spleen, those organs that are responsible for our energy intake through food.

Ma36 is a general toning point for the whole body, but also for the psyche, and is used for all symptoms of fatigue, tiredness and weakness.

Together with MP06, Le03 and Di04, it is one of the most famous and frequently used points in Chinese medicine.

MP 6 "Meeting place of the 3 Yin" - Sanyinjiao

One of the most important acupuncture points that strengthens the spleen

- Location:

4 transverse fingers above the tip of the inner ankle (malleolus internus)

- Helps with:

Loss of appetite, fatigue, diarrhea, feeling of weakness in the lower extremities, menstrual disorders, in the absence of menstruation, impaired libido.

Comment:

This point is used in Chinese medicine to tonify the spleen energy. It is often used in combination with the point Ma36. Due to our diet, many suffer from MIlz-Qi deficiency, which manifests itself in sweet cravings, tiredness after lunch, general fatigue and soft stools. So this point is very important for us.

Another area of action of this point is that it removes moisture from the lower of the 3Warmers removed. Thus, it also has a specific effect on the urinary tract and is used here for micturition disorders, dysuria (pain during urination) and cloudy urine.

MP6 is also an important point to Blood and Yin strengthen and will therefore be Blood deficiency and Yin deficiency used.

MP6 is also one of the main points in any gynecological problems, as it regulates the uterus and menstruation and resolves pain.

The point also has a lot to offer on the psychological level. Thus, it has a strong calming effect on the mind and is therefore used for sleep disorders. Due to its effect on the liver energy, it also works very well with irritability.

Sp 09 "Yin Hill Spring" - Yinlingquan

Helps with abdominal pain and menstrual cramps

- Location:

On the lower edge of the inner tibial head (condylus medialis of the tibia) in a depression when the knee is bent.

- Helps with:

Cold feeling in the abdomen, feeling of tension under the ribcage, lumbar pain, pain of the external genitals, difficult micturition (urination), urinary retention, cloudy urine, fluor vaginalis, diarrhea

Comment:

This point is one of the main points on the spleen meridian for the elimination of Humidity from the lower 3 warmer. These are problems and discomfort in the abdomen, pelvis and bladder.

KG 4 "Gate of origin qi" - Guanyuan

Alarm point of the small intestine

- Location:

4 transverse fingers (3 cun) below the navel

- Helps with:

Diarrhea, problems urinating, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength.

Comment:

This is the most powerful point to tonify Qi and blood and strengthen body and soul. It strengthens the kidney and thus the original Qi. Thus, it is an important point to increase overall vitality and in chronic diseases.

KG 4 has a grounding effect on the spirit of man, in that it offers us a center in which we can gather and come to rest.

KG 5 "Stone Gate" - Shimen

Alarm point of the triple burner

- Location:

3 transverse fingers (2 cun) below the navel

- Helps with:

Diarrhea, problems urinating, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength.

Comment:

The effect of points KG 4,5,6 are similar and therefore we have combined them.

If we take a closer look at KG 5, it has a special effect on the 3-fold warmer. It also strengthens, like KG 4, the origin Qi. However, more by the fact that he better coordinates the "3 combustion chambers of the body".

The task of the triple burner is to regulate the absorption, transformation and elimination in the body. The better this works, the more vital the entire body.

KG 6 "Sea of Qi" - Qihai

Strengthening point of the body - the sea of energy!

- Location:

2 transverse fingers (1.5 cun) below the navel

- Helps with:

Diarrhea, problems with urination, period disorders, premenstrual syndrome, infertility, impotence, lack of strength, physical and mental exhaustion.

Comment:

The effect of the points overlap and yet can be very differentiated. While KG 6 strengthens more the Qi, KG 4 strengthens more the blood. This is explained by the fact that KG 4 acts on the small intestine, which is involved in blood production.

Furthermore, KG 6 moves qi, while KG 4 has no qi moving influence, although both strengthen qi.

KG 6 affects all abdominal organs, while KG 4 has more of an effect on the uterus.

KG 6 additionally strengthens the spleen, while KG 4 strengthens the kidneys.

Hk 06 "Inner gate" - Neiguan

Most important point for nausea, travel sickness, vomiting and seasickness.

- Location:

on the inside of the forearm, 3 transverse fingers (2cun) from the flexor crease, between the tendons

- Helps with:

Mind soothing, stomach problems, reflux, irregular or painful menstruation, clarified! chest pain (thorax), premenstrual depression, sleep disorders

Comment:

This is one of the important points in acupuncture with various effects. Firstly, it acts on the chest and can therefore be used for pain and unpleasant sensations in the chest. However, these should always also be clarified by a doctor.

It has a strong calming effect on the mind and is therefore used in all states of anxiety and restlessness.

Especially effective for women suffering from premenstrual depression.

In addition to its effect on the heart and liver, it also acts on the stomach, specifically directing qi downward in the case of "rebellious stomach qi". This is a condition in which the stomach energy does not flow downwards as it would naturally, but rises upwards due to congestion, leading to nausea and vomiting.

Qi Gong

The word Qi Gong consists of 2 syllables - Qi and Gong. The Chinese term "Qi" can be translated for us most likely by "life energy". But it contains more than this. It also means breath and air. In Chinese medicine, Qi is considered to be the invigorating force that flows through all living things. However, Qi is not only inside the body of a living being, but also outside. Qi also shows itself to us in nature. Thus animals, flowers and trees are flowed through by Qi. Qi is the living force that is inherent in everything and that makes life possible.

The Japanese call this force "Ki". In India it is called "Prana". It always means the same thing - the power and energy that is inherent in everything and keeps us alive. In Chinese medicine, health is only possible when the Qi in our body is pure, not polluted and can flow freely.

Due to bad living habits, in the course of time, energy blockages can occur in the body system and as a result, diseases can manifest, which can be physical or psychological in nature. Generally speaking, we can say that a living person has Qi throughout the body.

The word "gong means roughly "body work" or "success through perseverance and practice". Therefore Qi Gong is called "Work with the life energy". We learn to improve the flow and distribution of Qi in our body through movement and concentration to strengthen our health and bring body and mind into harmony. At the same time we learn to stand correctly, between heaven and earth. This significantly improves posture and many aches and pains disappear on their own.

Qi Gong is a holistic healing system with a long tradition, which has been continuously developed until today. It includes health-promoting postures, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques and meditation. Through these various exercise methods, Qi is supposed to be collected and stored in the body, like in a reservoir. The goal is to expel the impure Qi and absorb fresh pure Qi.

Qi Gong is not a medicine that is prescribed for a limited time, but rather it should be practiced daily. In this regard, 20 minutes of daily practice is enough to improve health and one's well-being to a great extent.

Anyone can practice qigong. There are exercises for every age and every state of health. The exercises can be practiced standing, sitting, lying down or walking. So even physically challenged people can easily practice Qi Gong and improve your health in a sustainable way.

Chinese herbs

The herbal therapy is called "the queen of TCM" in traditional Chinese medicine. This underlines its high status. Herbs form an important foundation of TCM and have a profound effect on the human organism. They can replenish deficiencies, expel states of fullness, warm or cool the body. They are generally referred to as herbs. Nevertheless, minerals are also used in the recipes.

Herbs are usually prescribed after a thorough diagnosis by a doctor. In this diagnosis, in addition to a conversation, attention is paid to the pulse, tongue and overall appearance of the person. Nevertheless, there are herbal mixtures that have proven themselves over the centuries for various problems.

We have made suggestions for all clinical pictures for such proven recipes. Nevertheless, in many cases it may be necessary to consult a doctor or therapist. Based on the individual situation, this person can recognize how the energetic situation really is at the moment and, based on this, recommend the optimal herbal mixture. Of course we do not have this possibility, because we cannot meet you personally. Nevertheless, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we will try to help you as much as possible.

For many disease patterns there are 2-3 herbal suggestions. The first suggestion is always the one that from my experience is suitable for most people. However, if there is no reaction, then try the second mixture that is suggested to you.

However, herbal therapy needs some patience, because in most cases it works slowly and subtly. In return, there are no side effects and the effect is very long-lasting.
