Meridian Yoga Exercises

explained

Needle

The small intestine is the organ in the body that decides what is important and what is unimportant. The usable substances from food are broken down in the small intestine with the help of pancreatic secretions and bile and absorbed into the blood.

The unusable parts of the food are passed on to the large intestine. Here, the usable liquids are extracted before everything that cannot be used is excreted in the stool.

If this function of the small intestine is disturbed for any reason, it has a direct impact on our energy level. One then feels easily exhausted and listless. In principle, the body is not properly supplied despite the fact that you give it food.

Too few nutrients are then absorbed from the food and food components that should not be there end up in the large intestine, which leads to further problems.

Exercise description

With the small intestine exercise you strengthen this important organ and its meridian. From the quadruped position, move your pelvis back toward your heels. Then push one arm forward and feel the length in your back.

Now push the second arm under the armpit to the side. When you put your head to the side, you feel a stretch on the outside of the arm. This corresponds to the small intestine meridian course. Stay in this position until the stretch line relaxes and then change sides.
